I'm using a Pixel 3a and after an OS update today, all of the default icons have turned from full color to black n' white. Stuff like Contacts, Files, Gallery, Calc, Phone, Messaging and more icons are now just simplified images without any color. WebGoogle is able to “mostly” verify that the system you receive is legitimate. This can prevent a custom spyware OS from fooling a user if it was to have no warning.
